& Greetings, Wanderer

Hello! I am Patteh/Patty Kun and welcome to Yesterday Said the Better Things, my little home in the interwebs that reflects a bit of myself and what I'm into. This place also serves as an umbrella network of my personal and fan projects, existing both online and/or offline (´∀`). I'm yet to fully develop this website so while I continuously try to learn more about maintenance, I hope you enjoy whatever you find here!

& Yesterday said... What?

The Heart

If there's any background story I can give, "Yesterday Said the Better Things" is my answer to the ol' time, playful question "If your life is a book, what will you call it?".The phrase first sparked as a title for a series of photographs I took some years ago, but it eventually grew to something more significant than that. The concept around it is that we (or some people) will always look back to our past and call it the better days; may it be due to regret or plain nostalgia. For whatever reason we look back, the very act of reminiscing will always teach us one thing: the appreciation of the present time no matter how hard it seems. I find myself always falling back to this realization no matter where I go or what I do. So I guess it's safe to say that though I fail in many ways, I still continuously try to learn to appreciate the gift of now. The very existence of this entire web page is thus the embodiment of my relationship with the past, time, and the word "nostalgia".I've been meaning to make a personal website since I was 13 years old, thanks to my childhood friend, Claudine, who was the catalyst for my sitely enthusiam. But due to lack of resources and the right questions to ask to learn coding, I was only able to courageously build a site after *cough* more than a decade, and after having my main job under the digital marketing industry. This safe haven of a site may not be as hard-coded as the works of the amazing webmasters I've followed throughout my childhood; but with the way it is now, I say it suits me just fine.

& A glitch in the seams

The Shaman

A few things about myself: I'm a walking paradox in a lot of ways. I either hide or spiel a lot about myself, embarrassingly (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄). I am born a fangirl, I love to draw and art is something I wanted to marry for the longest time. I'm also quite passionate about music and I enjoy reading. Fictional live action series are not always for me as I prefer documentaries and reality shows. Regarding books, I greatly prefer non-fiction over the fictional ones (but I still do read fiction! Only rarely). I believe magic and science exists for each other and lastly, I am extremely soft for found-family tropes.

& Merchandise/Collection Gallery

This page is meant to showcase my hoarder collector side XD Collecting merchandise is like the highest point of the hierarchy of fandom needs in my opinion. The peak means the love has already transcended the normal fandom practices like mere "gushing" or making fanworks.I show interest in other media but the following titles (and items) are obviously the ones closest to my heart. I'll continue to update this page albeit slowly for as long as I'm in the clutches of my own fan feels :'D

I can choose to post some of the images on their respective shrines but I feel like they're too personal to be out there. So am dumping them all in here instead!

& Site Updates

September 4, 2021 - Site was officially created using Carrd.co!
April 22, 2024 - Decided to document the updates and construction progress of this site so I made a separate page for it! I updated my interest/favorites list on the Site page, and also made the Collections page public today :)
June 7, 2024 - I added "Memory Box" as one of my projects. Because it is lol. An offline one! Its been ongoing since my teen days so it deserves a spot here.
July 23, 2024 - Moved "Charity Audit Log" from project wishlist to my Offline projects list :) I already found the proper notebook for it. Not sure though if I'm gonna share any photos since I don't plan on designing it or whatsoever. I also added "Patty Through the Pages" to the Offline projects list. It's an old scrapbook and it's finished but I was so proud of it back in the day so I thought it deserved to be recorded here. Lastly, "Patty Through the Colors" is added in the wishlist. It's kind of a sister project? To the scrapbook due to the title. It'll serve as my documentation notebook for the provenance of my artworks.
February 11, 2025 - FINALLY added new photos in the collection gallery. It's not yet complete but at least I managed to start something. Also, changed the rounded design of icons and photos to square-ish. I didn't know why I went with circles to begin it, it's not even my favorite shape-- it's square XD so I gave in to scratch that relentless itch at the back of my brain and made all things square.
May 4, 2025 - Aaaaannd more photos! :D Head to the Collection gallery section for more... PPG merch.
